By folding a certain number of fingers we have learned to create a multitude of signs to communicate. Moreover, the same sign can have different meanings according to the culture of reference.
The symbolism of cutting off the fingers here has a meaning that refers to life situations in which we are forced to do what we don’t want to do or, conversely, situations when we have the possibility to make a choice.
The addition of the typical compositional and chromatic style of Dr. FonTs plays down the mutilation, for this reason… chopping fingers is funny here!
